First ride.

Had my first official ride out today on my new bike(courtesy of ride to work scheme at Evans). Went to Chops with Mick n Tony which was a bad idea as i quickley found out just how unfit i realy am.They didn't even break a sweat n i was in need of oxygen.That was just the ride upto Roots. But what a blast,cheers lads.Can't wait for Hamsters on Friday. Boney. Continue

Switchbacks.com - how f*cking hard!!????

Just back from four days of the hardest and best riding I have ever done in my life! Bike's been bashed to bits and I'm surprised I'm not peeing blood.. Went with Tony C, Richard and Si Rhodes and it was a great trip. The company, www.switch-backs.com, were class and looked after us really well. They picked us up on time, put us in top digs and even booked us into great restaurants. What they didn't do was hold back on the thrills and scares! crashed again lol

Lush time in hampsterly this weekend section 13 etc but came up short on the the 3rd dirt jump landed on me ribs rake lane says 2 to 3 weeks,could be worse rory done same jumps and his ribs will take upto 6 weeks to heal such is life lol Continue

Trip to the dales

Mark, Nigel & I had a couple of days down in the dales Mon / Tue this week. First day we rode the classic "Scar House Reservoir" ride which was brilliant, apart from a flurry of punctures in the last few miles of the ride. After a couple of flats between Mark & I on the 2nd to last descent, we hit the final descent and I managed to pinch flat on the top section, and then after hitting a very rocky section at pretty much full speed I managed to get 2 pinch flats in the front and 5 or 6 i… Continue

Upgrading my disc brakes but the bolts are rounded any ideas on how to get them off?

Help would be apprieciated they are star nuts and they are keeping my crap disc on but i have only got 1 out of 6 six off, so far i have only thought of vice grips which didnt work, any ideas people? cheers Continue
