has anyone else considered going straight on over the rock? i look at it everytime but think it might be hard to get a good landing as it doesn't line up with the valley floor... pos transistion onto the bank? maybe some northshore style woodwork ...
Great news! So long as no one appeals against the decision. With finding the funds / finalising the designs I'd reckon it's going to be at least a year before they start on site and looking at the site plan I'd say it's going to take at least anot...
woot de woot woot...

how many days before its ready oh baby... excitment levels rising...
I think it's about 16 miles (takes around 2 hours) - we'll be setting off from mine about 5.30-6 if you fancy coming along. You will need off-road lights. Can you make it?
We start at Middleton St George (where a few of us live), go along the Tees to Neasham, on to Croft and then Stapleton, round Broken Scar, through to Mowden, Brinkburn Road and then, as if by magic, we return to Middleton. Swift pint at the Fighting Cocks and home! I'd say it's about 70% singletrack / black path and the rest road. Where d'you live in Darlo?
Started off with drop off III's - they were awful no control of rebound.... So swapped to a pair of 66's - air ones, again, rubbish fork but made the norco feel better, slackened off the front and the bolt through helped handling. Stil had trouble gettibng them to grip properly - they are realy a big hit sort of fork.
