hello mate, yes i am up for richmond on sunday. Hows the neck? I did barnard castle, sunday gone. it was the hardest physical thing i've ever done, it was ultra muddy and i couldn't find any grip, there was almost as much running as there was riding, due to the lack of grip! my inexperience showed, i dont know wether all of my energy was drained by the mud or wether i wasn't 100%, either way it was hard work, hopefully i will have gained some experience goin into the richmond round. I think that there will be a large no of entrants. hope to see you there. the Ripper is waiting patiently for you to grace its pedals!

hello again mate, thanks for your kind words mate, you can be sure i will be trying hard next time, so i hope your right and i'm mixing it up with you guys again.
all the hairs are up on my arms looking at those bmx pic mate, awesome, when i was a kid, although i loved bmx, it was football and table tennis i concentrated on. I wish i'd stuck in with the bmx!
after nebbing on your profile i noticed that we have more than cyclocross, mtb and bmx in common, I also work in peterlee ind est, at Caterpillar, and i'm also a married father of 2 boys Harry and Joe ( 6 and 4). I have a pk ripper which you welcome to ride anytime, harry has a little ripper and joe has a mongoose 12" wheel, little ripper ready for xmas. We try to spend time at summerhill bmx track in hartlepool, which is an awesome track , well worth a look.
Are you racing Barnard casltle at the weekend, i was thinking of not bothering and goin to hamsterly instead, however, if you and stephen are goin, i guess i should. let me know mate.
I will hopefully be tagging along on some mountain bike races with you 2010.
Anthony.

Hi ray,
Sorry but just picked up your message. Shame as you would have been made very welcome. Saturday night piss up was quite epic with only 6 of the 26 starters making day two of the ride. Mind you we had a few injuries to take into consideration including a badly gashed knee and three broken ribs in the DH race alone. There were some fantastic old bikes out there and they were riden hard, 8 hours in the saddle on saturday and a lap of Dalby on sunday. There was a modern Orange 5 (reserve bike due to regular bike breaking) that could only manage 9th in the standings. I managed to get my 1987 FAT CHANCE into 4th- first fully rigid home and oldest bike in the DH race.
We will be up in Guisbrough and going over Urra to Commondale and back next month if you fancy coming along?

Cheers
Si
