Have to agree with Jim. We've got ours on our more than house insurance and the extra was only around £20 (haven't got the exact figure to hand) to cover any bike to the value of £1200. Only helps if you've got a house though...
To put into perspective.I pay £308 fully comp for my 2.0ltr 307 Stationwagon and have 6 points on my license.I use it everyday and average 20000plus miles a year.
So i'd say £234 a year is steep.

Hi Lee.I forgot that i'm at physio tomorrow(monday) so i won't be able to drop off the bike at lunchtime.
However,i'm at a seminar at Newcastle race course on Tuesday straight after work.So if you let me know what time you finish,i can drop it off on route.
Thanks again for the loan,it was a nice ride in Kielder.Nothing too stressful for my first outing in 3 years.
Cheers Boney.
Hi Lee,just a little reminder that i'll pick the lights up tomorrow lunchtime about 12.30 if that's ok?
Don't think i need to ask if you've charged the lights,or do i?
Cheers Boney.
Cheers Lee for the offer of a ride plus lid.Got a bit concerned when your next post was wether you were going to attend the Kielder ride, but i see you have two bikes.
Are you going to the NEFA night out/meeting next week?If so,we can make arrangements about the bike.
Thanks again.Boney.
