Cheers lads

Big thanks to Mick,Tony n BobT for joining me at Hamsterley today for some fun in the mud.I even managed to provide the comedy moment of the day by falling off my bike when it was stationary. As ever Mick managed to catch it on his camera,so expect to see the photo on here any day soon.
Good luck to the NEFA massive who are taking part in the race at the weekend.
Catch you all again soon.Boney.

First ride.

Had my first official ride out today on my new bike(courtesy of ride to work scheme at Evans).
Went to Chops with Mick n Tony which was a bad idea as i quickley found out just how unfit i realy am.They didn't even break a sweat n i was in need of oxygen. That was just the ride upto Roots.
But what a blast, cheers lads. Can't wait for Hamsters on Friday.
Boney.

Ride to work scheme.

Hi,can anybody shed some light on the "Ride to work scheme"?
Don't realy know that much about it,but it looks like this could be the only way i'm gonna get a new ride this year.Lack of funds/recession etc.

Also, can anyone comment on the new Boardman full suss?At £800 it looks like a potential ride being as i'm gonna stick to trail riding.Gotta be sensible with the back,as i'm a family man these days.
Thanks in advance.
Boney.

Cheers for the directions to those trails at chopwell. I've been down that end quite a few times to ride that drop with a right bend then over the stream at the bottom and never thought there was anything else further on. Had a good explore today. Cheers.

yeah that track looks like lots of fun, Ae forest is a real hoot but it's one of them routes where you need something light on the way out and something a bit more meaty on the way back, that said if i go i'll just be playing on the shredder and the DH cos i'd be too knackered to have any fun after the loop.

Boney i've got a set of V8's that i don't use, you could borrow them. Not in perfect nick but they've got loads of grip still, just the bearings have a very small amount of play in 1 of them but you can't tell when your riding, i can bring them on thurday too if you want,

Yeah, we need to get up to the woods at some time and do some tidying up and a bit of new trail after the loggers have destroyed a section.
