Hi Arron - I sometimes ride through beamish woods myself, usally follow the cyle track down from Tanfield railway. Washingwell woods in Whickham is okay but not very big. I can get to Chopwell in about 30 minutes (don't have a car rack yet) but I've not done too much exploring in Chopwell, but would like to find & ride the PowerLine trail.
Sometimes I ride over to the Derwent walk at Hamersely and from there ride to Swalwell then back up to Whickham, and a couple of times I've ridden over to the Angel of the North (there's a track the runs through Kibblesworth and then under the A1 and upto the Angel).

I really need to get a car-rack so I can head upto Kielder etc. A few friends from work have been up their an tried the red trails, though some of them seem pretty tough.

Thanks Arron - v. happy with the Zesty. Do you ride anywhere local or do you tend to drive to a location to ride? From where we are in Sunniside there's a reasonable selection of rides straight out the front door. I need to do more exploring around Chopwell though.

Hi to you to mate.
Actually the rolls and breakfalls you learn in Aikido & Ju Jitsu come in handy when you fall off. It can sometimes help learning to land safley.

Be well
Graham
