- We're aiming to arrive at Kielder for about 10 and we'll be doing the Deadwater trails (red and black) At a guess I'd say we'll be there till about 2 or 3. My mobile number is 07740106910.
I'd fancy coming on Sunday, but I've friends over on Sat night, so it's bound to be a late finish....not sure I'd be legal on Sunday morning!

Chunky said… - Hi Simon, If you are after getting a Trek Ex 8 like mine next year i strongly suggest you try Westbrook Cycles in Stokesley. Why? ...Standard price was £1750.... Well take a look at the recent picture of mine with the panaracer tires, bonti carbon bars , joplin uppie - downie seatpost white grips change of seat to own preference. All this changed with original tires and grips given as well. All for only £1550 now work that one out! : ) Then sell the tires and grips also candy c pedals and it has cost even less to buy!

- I know a guy who did the C2C and then didn't ride his bike again for 2 years! (must have been a bit sore!). I've ordered some of this protectors too - rented a bike bag from Bikescene for £ 20 too.

ray said… - My time was 4hr 2mins. I wanted to do it in under 4hrs. But under the circumstancers i cant grumble with that. I changed my mind at the last min on my tyres. I was going to use racing ralph. but after i went up there on saturday to register and seen some riders covered in mud i changed them for bontrager mud x. One of my better decisions good choice. I am doing sherwood pines this sunday NPS. Found out today the course is verry flat thank god!

- How did you get on simon. I was doing great up to the 30 mile mark my wife counted me in about 50th at that point. But i hit the wall when i started the climb and pushed up most of it. About 15 riders passed me on the hill so i recon about 65th. Im still happy with that as my target was top 100.

- Hi simon just seen the events you posted. Both sound really good and i would have signed up for both of these events if i was not allready doing mountain mayhem 24hr enduro and there is a cyclo cross event on when the gmbc is. Gutted I hate missing good local mtb events maybe next year. Let me know how you get on. Ray.
