Are they rounded internally? I take it you don't have anything like easyouts? If so carefully saw cut a flat head screw driver slot with a hacksaw.

Weather was absolutely perfect, nice cooling breeze and low sun. Yes, that climb went on forever, it took nearly 45 mins to do 4 mile but the other side was nice and fast
