Hi chris looking at doing a ride at hamsterley, including the red loop/poss black but i was looking at incorporating some moorland outside of the forest, have you got any routes that match that description i've only done the red/black loops before so i'm unaware of what else is around there. I'm looking at about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs of riding nothing too extreme like downhill sections.
cheers
chris

Looks like i will be doing the rest of the marathon series on my tod after the border raid. I done dalby nps yesterday and it was the hardest event i have ever done. Massive drop offs ,super steep climbs, huge rocks, millions of huge tree routes, And it was wet and slippy. Came 43rd out of 90 in the masters. Only 46 masters managed to finish all 4 laps. Border raid next week should be a doddle compaired to that. I will be going on the hamsterly club ride on june 14th i hear you will be the guide. A bit last min training for mayhem on 20th.

Hi chrispy. Looking forward to dalby nps. I done sherwood pines last weekend and it was a great experience. I got a puncture on the first lap but i still clawed my way back from last 80th to finish 59th and made some of the pro elite riders work hard to lap me. I have decided to race in the masters 30-39 yrs as you get to do one more lap than the sport. You do 5 laps in the masters and start from the front. In the sport class you only do 4 laps and start at the back starting 10mins after the elite riders which guarantees them to lap you and you have to keep pulling over. What class are you riding in and are you camping saturday night its free. I recommend the masters as it not so serious as the middle race of the day and looks more fun. Hope to c u there ray.
