Rading it back now yes I do sound like a knob. But honestly it was not meant in that way its just meant as a bit harmless banta in the hope i might bring a few xc racers out of the woodwork and say i can race and i dont have a good bike just for show. Then i might say proove it put your money where your mouth is and get some riders giving XC Racing a go. (Do you know where i was comming from now!). If i intended to upset people i would not of put my mobile number at the end of my blog would i.
As for me being elitist "I Wish" I raced at sherwood yesterday in the sport catagory and finished 32nd out of 70 and in the end i was well happy with that just testing myself against riders that was at my level giving the pros a bit stick as they laped me all part of the fun. big up Paul Oldham who was the only pro who joined in the banta and give me the thumbs up as he spead away. It was a great weekend all round and i feel that so many lads and lasses who are a bit scared to race but keep thinking about it are missing out. I love this site and have met some great friends on here and just wish that i can get some just 2 or 3 of our 500 members interested without upsetting everyone in the process. You seem to be the guy everyone respects can you help me out.

How way Crispy i am just trying to get some harmless banta going. I agree with you totally on what you said. My wife has a £1200 giat aret and all she does is ride the lines with it.We take the piss out of each other all the time all harmless fun. I thought if she does not take my banta serious I was sure no one on here would and take it for what it was meant (harmless fun) I dont just do XC racing i do marathons. Freeride, Enduros from 6 to 24hr. I do cyclo cross, and i am even going to have a go at the 1-2-1 event at hamsterly and see what DH is all about. I just love riding whatever whenever but not a big lover of the road it just does not rock my boat.So If i will give anything a go. I thought that now we have just announced 500 mountainbikers to the site. I would love to get a few members giving it a go (not loads just a handfull). I feel that its only me interested in XC Racing around here. All i would love to do is drum up a bit more interest buy starting some harmless banta. I will appologise to everyone who took affence but i will not to the guy who called me a WANKER thats not harmless and my oppinion over stepped the mark hope you will agree with me on that. HI, n thanks for the warm welcome. yeah it was my wife,me n a few other lads are goin to hamsterley on 31st if you fancy it , well be coming past your house about 10am, we usualy go to glentress and innerleithen, as its pure heaven up their as ya probably know, ;-)

What's happened to the ERFD's then? Think they should be resurrected...

That'd be great. Can't do the weekend of 24/25th Oct though.
