Hi mark, you'd better think about putting your entry in soon, as it was up to 175 when one of the lads i ride with put his entry in at the weekend. Team MTBNE sounds cool.
I'll not make the mistake this year of setting off with the leaders from th...
It's back for 2010.
One lap, 100 miles.
Start those training regimes now...

the guy who won it was awesome-fantastic time, i have a variety of excuses for my time of 12hrs 30 but i aint going to bore you with them. looking forward to beating it next year.
Hi John, i did this and i have to say its the toughest thing i've ever done.
I get out every week riding up in the hills for between 3-5 hrs covering 20-35 miles depending on how severe the terrain is.
So prior to the race i upped my mileage to 80...

If you don't already know this one I highly recommend it. A sound Downhill/freeride trail with a couple of fast decents, jumps and technical turns.
To find it starting from the carpark, head up the road passing all the logs, and take the second lef...
Hi Chris, are you looking for more moorland or more in the forest - there are a couple of routes which are mainly in the forest but head out onto the moors for some nice descents etc or there are a couple of routes that start & end in the forest but are mainly across the moor (tbh I find these a bit boring as the interesting moorland bit is mainly flat and the climbs / descents are on well manicured tracks / roads / fire roads).
Also, do you mind a bit of cheekiness in there? There is a cracking moorland singletrack descent but it's a footpath and there's no way to plead ignorance as there are big no cycling signs at the start!
Can you do me a quick description of the routes along the lines of the one I've added to the event page for the Swaledale route and I'll update the event.
Hi Chris, I've booked my ticket for the 10.10 to Alnmouth on 1st June. Booked online but the cycle reservation system didn't work as I found out when I collected my tickets this morning. I had to get my cycle reservation at the ticket office. See you at the station. I'm the one with the red and white Trek Fuel 80 and matching Giro helmet! Before you ask, no, I don't look like my pic. Pic of me so you can recognise me is on ebay, member id rjmitfc. See you there, Richard
Hi Chris, I think 1st June is looking like the best date. First train to Alnmouth is at 10:10 hrs. It looks like it's possible to book cycle spaces on-line. Is this date ok for you? Richard
