Me & mate are up there tonight, but generally get up there until 8.30, was up there on Saturday night for two hours, heavens opened & got soaked up great fun, you certainly do needs good lights

You need lights in the daylight in some places up there! Have a look on eBay for the Cree P7 torches, they are light and have 900 lumen and make a great helmet torch. At £50ish they are much cheaper than cycling specific stuff. Combine them with sometning on your bars and you have a cracking set up.

Hi Si, bought one of those Cree P7 lights, unbelieveable, tried it out last night at Thrunton Woods, together with my Stella 120 it is a brilliant combination, well worth £60. Cheers

I'm running a P7 Cree on the bars now with a pair of NiteRider Mi-newts angled to the sides for extra fill and a Cree P7 on my helmet. Absolutely brilliant combo for nightrides. When you up Thrunton next Merv?

Usually do the old XC loop up toward Thrunton crag to the pond and along to the cairn, back toward the stream below Coe Crag (or up onto it if the weather is kind) before heading into the woods onto the man made stuff for a few hours. Some of them are getting cut up and clarty so we have been trying to be responsible adults and have been 'resting' a few sections. There is plenty to choose from- did six hours up there last weekend and did not do the same bit twice.

Hi Si,
Try to get up there once a week if we can, it all depends on what day my wife goes out running, & if my mate is up for it. That P7 that I bought is unbelievable, my mate was that impressed he ordered one of ebay as soon as he got back. Next time I know i am going up I will give you a shout. Cheers
