Eastgate Planning Meeting

Just has an email about the next planning meeting regarding the development of the Weardale Works and Quarries and other Lafarge Land at Eastgate.

It is to be held on the 29th of September at County Hall, Durham @ 2pm...

Just letting people know about it encase they haven't heard etc...
will post plans (if i can find em) in a min...

Hopefully it will be approved although even if it is I doubt it will be going ahead in the near future as I can't imagine funding / investors are going to be easy to come by at the moment. also didn't someone announce that the railway is gonna be reopened up? dunno if i read it here or somewhere else..

With finding the funds / finalising the designs I'd reckon it's going to be at least a year before they start on site and looking at the site plan I'd say it's going to take at least another year to get it built. Probably longer.

Hopefully they'll build the trails first so we can ride them as they build all the rest of it but I doubt it. But as soon as it is I'll be there...; ▶ Reply to This
