Hello im looking to get back on the bike, wondering if there was anyone on here in the Alnwick area as ive lost touch with the people i used to ride with years ago.

Also ive been up to Thrunton Woods where i used to ride alot and found quite a few downhill sections that are well built but im sure theres more would like to find out where they are if anyone knows.

Cheers

Well the thing with Thrunton is that you know it or you don't. The place is a maze with trails so I suggest just going out and exploring. Worked for me ;D.
If you don't already know this one I highly recommend it. A sound Downhill/freeride trail with a couple of fast decents, jumps and technical turns.
To find it starting from the carpark, head up the road passing all the logs, and take the second left at a T junction on the forest roads, about 10second decent along this forest road it starts to bend to the right, just as it starts to this there is an obvious pile of distinct grey gravel which marks the start of the trail, head into the woods and as a check your in the right place there should be a red and white sign post. It's single track and when you have a choice of going left or right choose left. :D Have fun!
