Event Description
The first of 3 rounds of the 2012 KTR/The Bike Place marathon series.
Given the time of year, we run this over three shorter laps with a total of under 50kms. Just the job to get the rustiness out of those legs, and the hot food in the pub afterwards makes you realise it was a good idea after all!
The event is planned on the basis that each entrant is self-sufficient with regards to food and drink for the duration of the ride, and also in respect of minor repairs and punctures.The course will be marked with Day Glow Arrows, and will be made up of Forest roads, green roads and man made singletrack.
Enter as a solo or a team of upto 3.
The Angler's Arms in Kielder village, will be host for this event.

Dont hezitate! Show no anxiety and just register! Its just £25 and all goes to a good cause - the Kielder trail builders/forestry comission, not like we're saving starving children in Africa here, but other money can go there :)

Is there a cut off point for entry? Just sold my car yesterday so desperately looking for a new one, and won't know if I can make it until the last minute.

Well, I won'r be going as I fell off last week and my shoulder is still knackered. Tried riding in to work today and it was far too painful on the road so offroad is still a no-no for a few more days.
Gutted.

I will be going up A68 past you Steve if you need a lift? I know Chris morrell has said he can take Marc as they are local to each other, marc just needs to call chris to confirm.

About 15 mins out of Durham. Can drive to Kielder up the A68, normally takes about 80 mins.

Marcus, I live at Tow Law and would be interested. The A68 is right on my door step. Would go halfs on fuel etc.
