Haven't been up there since the summer, but I think it'll probably depend on the weather. Was starting to freeze over a bit today. Getting nice and crispy in parts, but not quite there....

Edmundbyers/Blanchland

Hi folks,Just wondered if anyone has been over to Edmundbyers/Blanchland/Slaley Forest recently? Thinking of heading down there tomorrow but don't want to go if the bridleways are too cut up/eroded at this time of year.See More

Nope, no licence required. Just a bike and the compulsory kit: Trailside repair tools , puncture repair kit and a Trail First Aid Kit Cycle helmet and appropriate clothing for weather conditions on the day, and enough food and drink to last the…

February 25, 2012 from 8am to 2pm
The first of 3 rounds of the 2012 KTR/The Bike Place marathon series.Given the time of year, we run this over three shorter laps with a total of under 50kms. Just the job to get the rustiness out of those legs, and the hot food in the pub afterwards makes you realise it was a good idea after all!The event is planned on the basis that each entrant is self-sufficient with regards to food and drink for the duration of the ride, and also in respect of minor repairs and punctures. The course will be…See More

Here's an idea I like: Go and ride all 3 and make your own mind up! Simple, but not very helpful. Not been to Dalby, Kielder Deadwater and Up & Over are really good (as is the blue - don't knock it till you've tried it), have…

Whinlatter is by far the best of the three, the blue route is a good starter and is very similar to the red at Dalby, and the red is similar to the blacks at Hamsterly. Then do the north route to get that long climb out of the way plus the downhill…

Im an in experienced rider and I found Kielder much easier than Winlatter. Winlatters got alot more really gnarly stuff and theres something like 23 jumps on one of teh descents, not downhill stuff though really nice, fast little tabletops and stuff…
